Fugar Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government Area, Edo State, has organised an orientation exercise/exams briefing for its students.

The event, which was chaired by the centre director, Prof. Jonathan Aliede, was meant to familiarise fresh students with the workings of Open and Distance Learning (ODL), NOUN's flagship mode of instructional delivery.

The heads of registry, account, ICT, as well as desk officers of the various faculties took turns to enlighten the freshmen on the modus operandi of different faculties and units of the university.

Returning students were also sensitised on the rules and regulations governing examination administration in the West Africa's foremost and largest university.

Aliede took time to explain to his audience the importance of good conduct, by both staff and students, during any examination at NOUN.

He reiterated that the university does not take lightly any issue of misconduct during examination.

He warned that any student engaging in exams malpractice would be promptly summoned to the Exams Misconduct Panel for appropriate sanctions, while any staff guilty of complicity in aiding and abetting exams misconduct would be made to face the full weight of the law.

It is worth reiterating here that the 2021_1 Pen-on-Paper (PoP) examinations kicks off on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at all 103 study centres across the country.
