‘You need patience, hard work to succeed in NOUN’


The Director, Port Harcourt Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Dr. Nnenna Nancy Chukwuma, has opined that for a student to graduate successfully at the university, he/she needs to carry along patience and hard work in his/her academic expedition.

Chukwuma made the assertion on Friday in her opening remarks on the occasion of Students’ Forum/Freshmen Orientation and Exams Briefing organised by the management of the centre for the students.

Okagbare tasks Calabar centre staff on good maintenance culture


The Director, Learner Support Services (DLSS), National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Gregory Okagbare, has charged members of staff of Calabar Study Centre, Cross River State, to uphold good maintenance culture in order to ensure longevity of facilities at the centre.

Okagbare gave the charge as he interacted with staff of the centre during his unscheduled visit last Wednesday.

Calabar Study Centre holds orientation exercise for freshmen


The management of Calabar Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Calabar, Cross River State, on Friday, organised an orientation programme for the newly admitted students of the centre.

In her opening remarks, the centre director, Prof. Onyeka Iwuchukwu, explained the mode of studies in NOUN to the students.

Study centres to get desk officers, new NMCS president assures


The newly sworn-in President of the NOUN Multipurpose Cooperative Society (NMCS), Mr. Bala Lazarus Sabo, has assured cooperators that his administration will accord inclusiveness a high priority by creating desk offices at all the study centres of the university.

Sabo stated this during the 2019-2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the society held on Thursday 21st, October, 2021 at the Convocation Arena of National Open University of Nigeria Headquarters (NOUN), Jabi, Abuja.
