The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Isaac Sammani Butswat, has received a fellowship award from the Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN).
Prof. Butswat, in a chat with NOUN News correspondent in his office, went down the memory lane of what prompted the award and encouraged staff of the university to be the best in their careers.
The presentation of the award took place in a conference held on 5th September, 2021 at Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
“I am a registered animal scientist, a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Animal Science and the College of Animal Science, and I have received awards from the three associations,” he said.
The DVC explained that the selection process for the award was rigorous as he went through several screening processes to be selected for the award.
“Applying for an award and receiving a positive feedback is worth celebrating,” he said.
Butswat added that the award is a plus to NOUN as it serves the advocacy purposes of the university.
He, therefore, encouraged his fellow colleagues to be committed in their careers so that they can be recognised by their respective professional bodies.
