 
In a show of solidarity and goodwill, the Dean, Faculty of Education, Professor Bamikole Ogunleye, has led a delegation of academic and administrative staff of the faculty to felicitate with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology, Innovation & Research), Professor Christine Iyetunde Ofulue, on her recent appointment and assumption of office.
The visit, which took place at Prof. Ofulue’s office, NOUN Headquarters in Abuja, was marked by goodwill messages, reflections, and mutual commitment toward the advancement of the university’s mission.
While speaking, Prof. Ogunleye extolled the virtues of the new DVC, describing her as an exemplary scholar, an accomplished administrator, and a visionary leader whose dedication to academic excellence and technological advancement has been evident throughout her career.
“We are proud to celebrate one of our own who has consistently demonstrated excellence and leadership.
“On behalf of the Faculty of Education, I wish you an impactful, and successful tenure of office.
"We are confident that your experience and commitment will further elevate the university in the areas of technology, innovation, and research,” he said.
 
In her response, Professor Ofulue expressed deep appreciation to the dean and members of the faculty for their thoughtful gesture and described the visit as encouraging.
She emphasised that such gestures reinforce unity and collaboration within the university community.
“I am truly grateful for this show of goodwill,” she said. “It means a lot to know that I have the support of my colleagues from the Faculty of Education.
" I remain committed to offering my best to the university and to ensuring that our collective efforts continue to drive innovation, quality research, and academic excellence.”
Ofulue also urged the faculty to continue providing support and play a leading role in initiatives that would further enhance the university’s global reputation and academic standing.
Present at the event were the Faculty Officer, Mrs. Deborah Ubaji, and Heads of Departments from the Faculty of Education, who joined in congratulating the new DVC and pledging their continued collaboration.
