The Gulak Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Adamawa State, has taken its advocacy drive to the Union Bank of Nigeria office, Mubi town, Mubi Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
Acting director of the centre, Mrs. Magaret Yamtu, introduced programmes offered at NOUN and the flexible nature of the system to personnel of the bank during an interactive session.
Yamtu urged the staff to take advantage of the flexibility and cost effectiveness of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of instructional delivery, promoted by the university to improve themselves and update their academic qualifications.
Responding, the Branch Manager, Union Bank of Nigeria, Mubi, Mr. Musa Hassan, who was visibly happy with the visit, approved the immediate enrollment of four students from the branch.
The manager expressed his gratitude on behalf of his staff for the visit of the director and members of her advocacy team.
Hassan promised to work in partnership with the university to encourage more staff to enroll at the university.
