The Management of Ilaro Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has recently received two branded laptops and a desktop computer from Dr. Deen Ibiyemi, a philanthropist and member of a community leader.
Ibiyemi, with his four-man entourage, made the presentation as part of initiative to support the study centre in developing the community.
The philanthropist said the community is proud of the achievement of the institution and the community study centre in particular.
He further said that the token was a modest way of appreciating and supporting the study centre and reiterated that more shall be donated in the earliest possible time.
The donor and his team expressed appreciation with the warm gesture they received from the director and members of staff during the visit.
In his response, the Ag. Director, Mr. Moses Ayokunle Ola, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable donations, and noted that computers are indispensable in an Open and Distance Learning institution such as NOUN.
"With this donation you have added to the new computers available for both staffers and students of the study centre. We believe more assistance will be received for the growth of the community study centre in due course," Ola said.
