The Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), Prof. S.J. Oniye, has monitored the conduct of the ongoing 2023_2 POP Examination at the Badagry Study Centre, Lagos State.
Oniye, who arrived at the centre very early, was received by the centre director, Dr. Julius Paul Eyanuku, and the staff members.
As an essential part of his monitoring assignment, Oniye took note of the written courses to ascertain whether they were administered as scheduled on the examination timetable.
He also inspected the examination venue, furniture, hall capacity, examination administration, and health services and offered some general observations.
The dean further made it a point of duty to visit the store section with the director to ascertain whether the study materials were adequately circulated to the students.
Oniye, however, did not fail to note the challenges being faced by the study centre, both during examinations and normal academic sessions.
He noted that some material resources are needed at the centre such as a well-equipped science laboratory and a giant soundproof generator to supply power.
