Students present business creation plans in Kaduna

The students of 300 level Business Creation and Growth (GST302) had on Saturday, October 21, 2023 presented idea proposals at the Kaduna Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)

The facilitator of the exercise and Coordinator, North-west Incubation Centre, Mr. Sadik Murtala Mansur, explained that any NOUN student enrolled in the 300 level must develop a business idea proposals and make presentation as part of the course’s requirements. 

In addition, this is a requirement in order to establish a business plan or create a more sustainable roadmap for an already existing business, said Mansur. 

He added that the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies was saddled with the responsibility to anchor the course by teaching entrepreneurial skills in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Moreover, students were given the task of choosing an SDG target and relating it to one of their business ideas in order to demonstrate how the goal affects and is related to the concepts they have chosen, the coordinator said. 

He highlighted that during course of the presentation, potential incubatees were identified, and those who met the requirements will go through the incubation processes to learn, connect with mentors, and equip themselves with all they require.
