Exam: NOUN’s Dutse centre continues hitch free exercise


As the conduct of the ongoing 2021­_2 Pen-on-Paper (POP) examination continues to gather momentum, Dutse Study Centre has continued its smooth 'sail' under the management of its director, Dr. Aliyu Musa.

The director told NOUN News correspondent that the commendable success wouldn't have been recorded without the efforts of the centre's staff.

Develop human capacity in transport sector, NOUN's VC tasks stakeholders


The Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters has tasked stakeholders in the transport sector to develop human capacity so as to bring about sustainable mobility in the continent.

Prof. Peters stated this while playing host to the participants of 4th Africa Sustainable Urban Mobility Course who paid him a courtesy visit on Friday, 26th November, 2021 at the University 's headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

Iduseri: How Africans grapple with socio-economic, health challenges of transport


Despite the numerous benefits inherent in transportation, the Head of Department of Environmental Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Emily Osa Iduseri, has said transportation has socio-economic and health challenges in Africa.

Iduseri disclosed this while presenting a paper at the 4th Africa Sustainable Urban Mobility Course organised by the Ochenuel Mobility at the NOUN headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

Comptroller pleads for establishment of NOUN centre in Akure Correctional Service


The Comptroller of the Nigerian Correctional Services (Prisons), Ondo State Command, Mr. Ope Fatinikun, has visited the Akure Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The Comptroller, who  was welcomed to the centre on Wednesday, 24 November, 2021 by the centre’s director, Prof. Samuel Ogunwale Ogundiran urged the university to extend a hand of fellowship to the inmates in his command.

Prof. Jokthan lauds POP exam administration at Gombe centre


The Director, Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL), Prof. Grace Jokthan, has commended the conduct of the ongoing 2021_2 POP examination at Gombe Study Center.

In what could be considered as a maiden visit to the centre, the erudite professor was received by the centre director Dr. Adamu Bappah alongside other staff of the centre.

Jokthan was taken round the various offices and the POP examination hall during the conduct of the 2:00pm session.

Osuji, Onwe applaud POP exam at Abakaliki, Awgu centres


The Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. Uchenna Sydney Ajunwa Osuji, has expressed satisfaction at the administration and conduct of 2021_2 Pen-On-Paper (POP) examination at the Abakaliki Study Centre, Ebonyi State.

Osuji stated this when he monitored the POP examination, on Tuesday, 23 November 2021, at the centre, where he commended the centre director, Dr. Udu Ama Aka, for his doggedness of moving the centre forward.
