The immediate-past Director of the Abeokuta Study Centre, Prof. Olusegun Adeleke Oba-Adenuga has officially handed over the mantle of leadership of the centre to his successor, Dr. Oyekunle A .Adegboyega.
Oba-Adenuga was among some of the teaching staff at the helms of affairs of study centres recalled to the Faculty of Education in a letter dated February 5, 2024.
The former director expressed his gratitude to Almighty God for making it possible for him to move the study centre to a greater height.
"The Abeokuta Study Centre I met in February 2020 was nothing compared to how I left it now. I thank God Almighty for helping me to achieve this great success. I pray for the new director to achieve more and better than my result. Please support him," he said.
He commended staff of the centre for their tremendous support towards taking the centre to a greater height and encouraged them to accord the new director all the necessary support and cooperation to succeed.
In his response, the new director, Dr. Oyekunle A. Adegoyega expressed happiness on the serene environment of the study centre and further eulogised his predecessor for the hard-work during his tenure at the centre.
Adegoyega thanked the university management for finding him worthy to head the leadership of the centre and promised to work harmoniously with all members of staff of the study centre.
