The Director, Isulo Community Study Centre, Dr. Bibian Ugoala and her staff have taken the gospel of Open and Distance Learning (ODL), championed by the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), to the Federal College of Education (FCE-Technical), Umunze, Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The aggressive advocacy campaign by the centre, according to Ugoala, was to create an awareness about the university's presence and to enlighten them of its academic programmes.

Ugoala added that the beating of drum of advocacy campaign was to lure both staff and students of the college to take the advantages of NOUN being a full -fledged degree institution and its centre's proximity to complete their degrees and to upgrade themselves academically.

The Provost, Dr. Tessy Okoli, flanked by the Registrar, Dr. Bessy Nkah, in her response, expressed excitement about the visit and assured the university management of attracting staff to take the opportunity NOUN offers to enrol into the institution.

The visit ended smoothly, even as grey areas asked by the hosts, were satisfactorily cleared by the centre director.
