The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ekiti State Command, Mr. Kunle Jimoh, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Ado-Ekiti Study Centre.

The visiting comptroller was received by the centre director, Prof. Raheem Adejoro Mustapha and his management team.

The purpose of the visit, according to the comptroller, was to familiarise themselves with the management of the study centre being newly posted to state and to further strengthen the existing relationship between the university and the service.

Jimoh stated that a lot of his officers are currently studying at NOUN, adding that those who graduated have been doing well in their respective offices.

He also acknowledged that he is a student of the university studying Master in Public Administration (MPA) at the Ibadan Study Centre before his relocation to the state and promised to continue his programme at the study centre.

The NIS boss, therefore, appreciated the management NOUN for coming up with such initiatives that allow people of his calibre to improve themselves educationally.

On his part, the director thanked the comptroller for the visit and commended the leadership of the NIS in its efforts to see that officers continue to further their academic qualifications.
