The Director, Minna Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Niger State, Dr. Mathew A. Gana, has said the university’s learning process has no barriers just as it is flexible.

Gana disclosed this when his advocacy team paid a visit to the Niger State Ministry of Tertiary Education on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

The visit to the ministry was to sensitise the staff of the activities of the university as well as to encourage them to take advantage of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL), system of education that NOUN provides to both citizens and none citizens alike.

The director informed them that NOUN is a federal university and has study centres across the country where students take advantage to learn at their pace, and has eight faculties.

On his part, the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Abubakar Adamu Mamagi, while welcoming the team, appreciated them and assured the director of his support for NOUN, promising to set a date to come to the centre to see the structure and facilities.

At the end of the programme, the staff asked questions in respect of law programme, victual examination, and learning operations of the university, and the director responded to them all.
