Acting Director, Ogori Community Study Centre, Ogori-Magongo, Kogi State, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Mr. Olufemi Apata, has assured staff of Edo Local Government Area secretariat that the flexibility and affordability of NOUN is geared towards their benefits by taking advantage of  enroling to gain more knowledge.

Apata stated this when he paid an advocacy visit to the local government secretariat on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

The advocacy team comprised of some senior staff that accompanied the director to the secretariat.

On arrival, the team was received by Dr. B.S. Matthew, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), all heads of departments and heads of parastatals.

While addressing the gathering, the director explained the importance of the university's flexibility and affordability in a bid to enhance education for all, even as he encouraged them to take action.

He also gave reasons why it was important for them to enrol as students so as to gain more knowledge and brighten their individual carriers.

In his response, Matthew, thanked the team and said the visit was apt as NOUN took education to their door steps.

He appreciated their coming and said the gesture had availed them the opportunity to also enrol into the university.

The HOLGA promised to inform all other staff about the university especially about the flexibility nature for them to also utilise and enrol.
