Bursar at Gusau centre for exam monitoring

Examination monitoring at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is part of the mechanisms deployed by the university in its commitment to ensuring that study centres are operating at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness, the university’s bursar, Malam Nasir G. Marafa, has said.

Marafa stated this when he visited Gusau Study Centre to monitor the ongoing 2023_1 e-examination.

He said the exercise is a key to conducting a comprehensive analysis and appraisal of all the centres to asses their performance in the administration of the examination, just as it helps identify areas of improvement.

Speaking on the examination at the centre, the bursar commended the effort of the acting director towards ensuring that all the rule and regulations governing the conduct of examination were followed.

He urged the management of the centre to ensure that standard is maintained so as to uplift the university to the highest level.

Earlier, Marafa had inspected the centre's facilities and promised to include in his report areas that need improvement as well as those aspects the centre is lacking.

The acting director, Mr. Aliyu Sirajo Haido, thanked the bursar and the university management for the visit, stating further that it will make the centre's management and staff to be on their feet.

Haido assured the total commitment of staff to the work place which would help in maintaining the university’s standard.

It could be recalled that the university bursar had similar engagement at Kaduna Study Centre and the Nigerian Air Force Base Special Study Centre, Kaduna.
