The National Open University of Nigeria, African Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (NOUN’s-ACETEL), and the Digital Science and Technology Network (DSTN) will jointly hold a 3-day workshop on On-line and Blended Learning.
The training, which is going to be virtual, is slated to hold between Tuesday 26th - Thursday 28th October, 2021, from 10am-2pm.
According to the Director, ACETEL, Prof. Grace Jokthan, the objective of the workshop is to provide a rich overview of the fundamentals of online and blended learning.
It also aims to enable lecturers to set up a virtual learning environment as well as support them to develop and deliver an effective online course, among others.
Jokthan also stated that at the end of the workshop each participant is expected to develop/transform a unit preferably in the area of specialisation of concerned participant into an online/blended mode of delivery with technology integration.
Faculty members in the university and ACETEL will act as resource persons in the workshop, she added.
To this end, a blended learning mode of educational delivery has been suggested as a post-COVID-19 “New Normal.’’
