CHRD celebrates director's elevation to professorial rank

Staff of the National Open University of Nigeria's Centre for Human Resources Development (NOUN-CHRD), Kaduna, and other distinguished personalities were among the guests that gathered to celebrate the director of the centre, Dr. Aminu Umar, following his elevation to the rank of a professor by the university.

The event drew notable attendees, including the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Prof. Nda Mundi, who also offered words of felicitations.

Retired General Atere and the pioneer Kaduna Study Centre Director, Prof. Nuhu Lawrence Garba also shared words of wisdom and congratulated Umar on his achievement. 

The directors of Kaduna Study Centre and Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Air Force, Dr. Babangida Iro and Dr. Madu Baba Galadima declared that the celebration was a testament to Professor Umar's dedication and hard work.

The duo also added that this recognition would serve as an inspiration to his colleagues and staff of the centre and the university at large.

In his remarks, Professor Umar reflected on his journey since joining NOUN in 2017, highlighting the university's growth and progress.

The celebrant praised the current and the past Vice-Chancellors for their efforts in taking the university to new heights.

He maintained that as the director of CHRD, he has played a key role in promoting and enhancing human resource development, which will continue to be sustained.

"The centre has established  partnerships with various organisations like The Super Nannies, Auto Clinic and a host of others  in Kaduna and across the country," Umar added.
