The Coordinator, South-east Conference Marking Zone, Prof. Sami Michael Ayodele, has asserted that the exercise requires a high-level of responsibility among examiners as the lives of students depend on its outcome.
Ayodele made the assertion on Thursday, January 16, 2025, while briefing the examiners during the 2024_2 conference marking exercise in the South-east geopolitical zone, Enugu State.
He said to uphold the university's commitment to academic excellence and integrity, markers should follow due diligence, effectively and correctly adhere to the marking guidelines to prevent errors from occurring.
The coordinator added that bulk scoring is not allowed, as only point-by-point awarding of exams scores would be entertained.
He maintained that anyone who has an engagement that would not allow him/her to meet up with the deadline submission of scripts is advised to decline from the marking exercise.
