The Director, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Emevor Community Study Centre, Dr. Christiana Urowoli Ebobo, has appealed to the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, for support to upgrade infrastructure and improve service delivery at the centre.
Ebobo made the appeal when she led a delegation made up of Emevor Centre's Head of Administration, Mr. Anaebo Paschal Ekene and other members of staff on a courtesy visit to Ogorugba on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The Centre Director commended her host's open-door administration, which she said fosters engagement and collaboration.
Ebobo presented two requests aimed at strengthening the centre's operations and enhancing students' learning experience.
First, she asked for a solar power system for the centre's administrative block to improve efficiency and ensure reliable service delivery.
Second, she requested the Chairman's assistance in engaging service providers to improve network connectivity at the centre and in its surrounding communities.
In response, Ogorugba assured the delegation that the council would provide the solar power system and improve network services, while reaffirming his administration's commitment to the centre's development.
He also praised the Study Center Director for her dedication and determination to advance the Centre in the short time since she assumed office, noting her commitment to institutional growth and effective service delivery.
The visit highlights the importance of partnership between NOUN and local government authorities in strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a more conducive learning environment for students.
