The Faculty of Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), is holding its regional laboratory practical for the Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Biology for students of 100 level of the faculty.

The 2-week practical, which is a combined exercise for the 1st and 2nd semesters, commenced on 11th and will end on 22nd October, 2021.

At the Lagos science facility, Dr. Uduak Aletan, explained that a good number of students responded for the practical, who showed a great level of enthusiasm to partake in the proceedings.

Although a few students from other neighbouring states showed up for the Lagos regional practical due to a mix-up of communication, Aletan added that states within the region would have theirs too.

"Hopefully, we would be moving to Oshogbo for the practical after rounding off here in Lagos," she said.

She acknowledged that the large turnout at the centre had put the facilities to a thin stretch, adding that “we need to curtail such problems as we move to a bigger and more spacious facility.”

In the laboratory, NOUN News observed, students were seen happily discussing and exchanging knowledge about the procedure and completing their work book.
