Gombe Centre director receives Award of Excellence

The Director, Gombe Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Adamu Bappah, has been honoured with the prestigious Award of Excellence by the Teacher's College Gombe Alumni Association. 

The award recognises Bappa’s exceptional academic achievements, dedication to education, and commitment to excellence.

The ceremony, held recently at the English Theater Hall of Gombe State University, was attended by alumni, faculty, and other distinguished guests.

The association's president, Malam Sani Sarki, praised Dr. Bappah's remarkable journey, calling him a "beacon of hope" and an "exemplary role model" for the alumni and community. 

The president added that "Dr. Bappah's recognition serves as a reminder of the transformative power of education and the impact of dedicated individuals like Dr.Bappah on society."

Bappah, an alumnus of the institution, expressed his gratitude to his alma mater and former colleagues for shaping his success.

He dedicated the award to every teacher and student striving for excellence.

As the Director of the Gombe Study Centre, Bappah has made significant contributions to education and community development.

His academic accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning, which he earned in 2020.
