Staff of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Mani Community Study Centre, led by its Director, Dr. Shamwil Salisu Bala, have paid a courtesy visit to the Katsina Study Centre as part of efforts to strengthen inter-centre collaboration and foster closer working relationships.
The delegation was received by the Director of the Katsina Study Centre, Dr. Babangida Iro, and members of his management team.
Speaking during the visit, Shamwil expressed appreciation to Iro for his significant contributions to the establishment and development of the Mani Community Study Centre.
He noted that Iro played a pivotal role by supporting the centre through staff deployment, student mobilisation, guidance and motivation, which he said contributed significantly to its growth.
Shamwil explained that the visit also provided an opportunity to formally welcome Iro back to the Katsina Study Centre following his recent deployment as its Director.
Responding, Iro thanked the Mani delegation for the visit, describing it as a “family reunion.”
He recalled that Dr. Shamwil and several members of staff of the Mani Community Study Centre previously served at the Katsina Study Centre, noting that the relationship between the two centres extended beyond official duties.
Iro emphasised the importance of professionalism, effective interpersonal communication, strong work ethics and student satisfaction in enhancing service delivery across NOUN Study Centres.
He urged staff of both centres to remain dedicated, punctual and committed to their responsibilities, while calling for sustained collaboration to improve the standard of NOUN Study Centres across Katsina State.
The meeting ended with prayers for continued mutual understanding, stronger working relationships and greater cooperation between the two centres.
