New study centre: Koroye visits council chair, royal father

As part of activities to mark his assumption of duty at his post, the newly appointed acting centre director of the just inaugurated Patani Community Study Centre, Patani, Delta State, Mr. Douye Koroye, has on Monday 22nd August, 2022, paid familiarisation visits to the chairman, Patani Local Government Council, Hon. Isaac Guanah and the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (Barr.) Shadrach P. Erebulu.

Koroye, who revealed that the purpose of his twin visits was to intimate the two leaders of the opening of the Patani Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), while addressing the two leaders separately, stressed that Patani is very fortunate to win the establishment of the centre as it is the first centre to be sited in Ijaw Land.

In their separate remarks, Guanah and Enebulu, expressed their appreciation to the management of NOUN for granting the request of the community to establish the centre. They declared their joy in hosting the new centre and pledged to work with the director and other relevant stakeholders to provide a conducive atmosphere and all that it takes to meet the needs of the nascent centre.

Koroye later led Guanah on facility tour of the study centre and the later promised to make the environment conducive for both staff and students of the new centre.
