
The 14th Convocation Ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is scheduled to hold between April 11 - 12, 2025, according to an announcement from the Registrar of the university, Mr. Oladipo A. Ajayi.
The announcement said the ceremony will hold both on-site and off-site as those billed to attend the on-site event were urged to be seated before 9am at the university’s Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja.
The Convocation Lecture, which will hold on April 11 by 11:00am, at the conference centre of the university, Jabi, Abuja, will to be delivered by the renowned Nigerian economist, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi A, Adesina, CON, on the topic: “Advancing Africa’s Positioning within Global Development and Geopolitical Dynamics”
The Convocation Ceremony, where the graduands would be awarded various degrees, will hold on April 12 by 10am at the Convocation Arena of the university, the announcement said.
It added that only first-class graduands, first-degree graduands in the study centres of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), PGD, award winners, masters’ degrees, doctorates degree graduands and honorary doctorate degrees are to attend the on-site ceremony at the Convocation Arena of the university headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.
Meanwhile, all first-degree graduands in other study centres will hold the ceremonies at their state capital study centres, it added.
