NOUN present as late Prof. Obioma is laid to rest

A representative of the Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and Director, Umudike Study Centre, Prof. Nnadi Chris was one of the large crowd who gathered for the burial ceremony of late Prof. Godwin Obioma on Friday, September 17, 2021.

The ceremony took place at the deceased’s own town, Amaokpu, Nkpa Autonomous Community, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, with other staff of the university accompanying the director.

The late Professor of Measurement and Evaluation, Obioma was a former director in the Directorate  of Examination & Assessment (DEA) of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and until his death on 31st May, 2021, he was the Registrar of National Examination Council (NECO).

His burial has attracted people from all works of life to honour and give him the last respect at his home town.

However, testimonies about him indicated that he was a promoter of national interests, hard work, sacrifice, among others.
