The 42nd Inaugural Lecture of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has been scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 27th, 2026 at the university headquarters in Abuja.
It will be delivered by Professor Chidinma Henrietta Onwubere, (SACCE) a Professor of Broadcasting, Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences of the institution.
Onwubere will present on the topic: "Bridging the Airwaves and Lifelines: Broadcasting, Healthcare Journalism and the Struggle for Maternal and Child Health Rights in Nigeria.”
The lecture will take place at the Conference Centre of NOUN, Jabi, Abuja, by 11.00am.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, is going to be the Chief Host at the event.
