Prof. Eserinune M. Mojaye has been appointed as the Director, Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for African Studies (OOCAF) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
According to a memo dated 5th August, 2021, which was signed by the director, Human Resources, Mr. John J. Ubaji, on behalf of the Registrar, the appointment, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, is for a period of two years in the first instance.
“I am pleased to inform you that the Vice-Chancellor has approved your appointment as the Director, Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for African Studies with effect from Thursday, 12th August, 2021.
“As the Director, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day activities of the centre and this is in addition to your original schedule as an Academic Staff in the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences,” the memo, addressed to Mojaye, said.
It explained that the appointment is renewable for a second and final term of two years subject to satisfactory performance.
Until his appointment, the new OOCAF director was the director of the Port Harcourt Study Centre, Rivers State.
