The Management of Uyo Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, April 25, 2025, mounted a sensitisation workshop for students in the Faculty of Education embarking on the 2025_1 Semester practicum and teaching practice exercise.
The workshop had the Centre Director, Associate Professor Edwin Bassey, as the key resource person.
The event was primarily meant to equip participants with the technical know-how as well as requirements for participation in successful practicum and teaching practice exercises.
Centre officers who also served as resource persons at the event were Mr. Michael Mkpang, Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR), Mr. Kingsley Nnamdi Egbu, Principal Store Officer (PSO) and the Faculty of Education Desk Officer for the centre.
Later on the same day, students of Computing were hosted at the centre for their CIT104, the practical aspect of Computing.
Assessors for the practical exercise were drawn from the Department of Computer Science, University of Uyo, with Dr. Daniel Asuquo as the lead assessor and programme moderator.
