The newly-appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command, Mr. Odigie Sunday, has assured NOUN Special Study Centre for the Nigeria Immigration Services (NSSC-NIS), Gwagwalada, of the command’s resolve to support and provide adequate security for the centre.

Mr. Odigie said this during a courtesy visit to the management of the NSSC-NIS centre and a familiarisation tour on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Mr. Odigie said he was excited and more informed about the activities of the university and said the visit was worthy and educative.

He also thanked the director for the information and warm reception accorded them, and promised to enroll into any NOUN programme with a promise to grant permission to any of his officers willing to enroll.

The commandant and his officers were received by the Centre Director, Dr. Adakole E. Odike, who also introduced the NOUN staff, and expressed his gratitude for finding time to visit the centre.

The director, used the opportunity to inform his visitor of the programmes and activities of the university, and the benefits of studying with NOUN, especially for those that need to upgrade themselves.

The commandant also visited other organisations housed in the same premises with the NOUN centre.
