Newly-elected executive members of the NOUN Multipurpose Cooperative Society have received their Certificates of Return following the election into various positions conducted a fortnight ago.

They gathered at the Directorate Of Learning Content Management Systems' Conference Room where certificates were presented and recognized winners of the election.

The event marked the formal conclusion of the society’s recent election and officially handed mandate to the newly-chosen executives who will steer its affairs for the coming tenure.

The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from the election committee representatives, who commended members for participating actively and peacefully in the electoral process.

They stressed that the cooperative’s strength lies in its commitment to transparency and collective decision making and also reaffirmed the cooperative’s values of trust, accountability and shared responsibility.

One after another, the winners were called forward to receive their Certificates of Return.

Mr. Mosugu Kolawole, who emerged as President/Chair, accepted his certificate to warm applause from members.

In his brief remarks, he thanked the cooperative community for their confidence in him and promised a leadership style rooted in fairness and service.

According to him, the new administration will focus on strengthening financial prudence, improving service delivery, and ensuring that members experience real value from their cooperative.

Following him, Mr. Daniel Victor Ashafa, the new Vice President, also received his certificate, expressing readiness to work collaboratively with the entire team.

The other elected officers: Mrs. Adaku Ifeyinwa Obi (General Secretary), Mr. Nelson Dafe Imonijeviwe (Assistant General Secretary), Mr. Israel Simon Avong (Treasurer), and Mrs. Rosemary Audu (Financial Secretary) all received their certificates amid similar enthusiasm.

The Supervisory Committee members, Mrs. Ameh Abeje Grace and Mr. Saleh Iliya Ewuga, were also formally recognized, completing the list of officers entrusted with safeguarding the cooperative’s structure, compliance, and internal accountability.

The newly-elected executives collectively assured members that the tenure ahead would prioritise modern approaches to cooperative management.

They rolled out plans that include improving turnaround time for services, expanding access to loan products, and introducing regular updates to keep members informed about decisions and financial standings.

They emphasized that the cooperative is a shared institution and that progress can only be achieved through mutual cooperation between leadership and the general membership.

With their Certificates of Return now formally issued, the new executives are set to assume full responsibilities immediately.
