The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Committee on Examination Malpractice has commenced sitting for the South-west students at the Lagos office with the aim to provide a fair hearing to those allegedly involved in wrongdoings during the 2021_1 and 2021_2 examinations.

The hearing, which took place at the Lagos Study Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, was presided over by the panel’s chairman and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Uduma O. Uduma.

The exercise was carried out as mandated by the university to checkmate students' activities during examination, maintaining the standard of zero tolerance for malpractices set by the university.

The panel’s chairman explained the need for students to adhere to the rules that govern their stay in the university, particularly during examinations to prevent unsavoury challenges that can befall them in their course of study.

He stressed that the flexibility of the mode of study afforded students is not an excuse for misbehaviour.

Undergraduate students involved in the exercise have been alleged to falter in the laws governing examinations last year, a breach of the code of conduct as students of the university.
