As part of the drive to expand study opportunities to the inmates in Ondo State, the Akure Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has embarked on advocacy visit to the Correctional Service in Olokuta, Ondo State.

The director of the centre, Mr..Abidemi Agunbiade, who had earlier hosted the Controller of Correction, Mr. Jude Agboje on a courtesy visit, stated the eagerness and readiness of the inmates to embark on their studies with the university.

During the visit as the semester commenced, the centre’s team was shown the facility for the inmates, which consists of a library room, study rooms, computer rooms with 12 desktops, network switches, and other resources that were prepared for the upcoming examination exercises.

The commander also said that 25 inmates have already indicated interests to enroll in different programmes as the director assured his host of a seamless admission processing and registration when their credentials had been certified.
