The Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof.Olufemi Peters, has urged students of the university to take advantage of the flexibility the university offers and be good role models.
Prof. Peters stated this when he recently visited the Lagos Study Centre during the orientation exercise of students of the university.
He encouraged the freshers to take advantage of technology and the federal government’s students loan available to them in the country so as to improve their education.
“But most especially, your role is to represent the university as good role models anywhere you found yourselves,” he noted.
The Vice-Chancellor wished the students success during their stay at the university and in life generally.
During the question and answer session, students used the opportunity to raise concerns about the heavy traffic in Lagos such as Sangotedo, Ajah axis, suggesting the opening of a new study centre in the area to ease movement, which the VC promised to look into the proposal.
Earlier, the Centre Director, Dr. Alero Akujobi, urged the students to be ICT compliant due to the fact that the university runs its programmes on ICT infrastructure.
