How Dr. Adamu became Governing Council Chairman of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic

Barely six months after his exit from the Kaduna State Executive Council to return to the Academia, facts have shown that Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu was appointed as the Chairman, Governing Council of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, by the Mal. Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’I administration.

The document emerged on the heels of the recent baseless allegations surrounding the disengagement of Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu as Honourable Commissioner in Kaduna State in 2017.

However, a letter signed by then Secretary to the State Government of Kaduna, Balarabe Abbas Lawal dated August 7, 2017, and addressed to Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu, it conveyed his appointment as the Chairmnan of the Governing Council of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, by the then Kaduna State Governor, Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’I.

The letter, with the reference number: SSG/KDS/267/VOL.XV/432, carried the title: Appointment as Chairman, Governing Council of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.

It said “ I am pleased to convey the decision of the Governor of Kaduna State, Mal. Nasir El- Rufa’I to appoint you as the Chairman, Governing Council of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.

“This appointment is based on your wealth of experience, good track record  of performance and keen interest shown by you towards development of the state. It is therefore expected that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of your duties.”
