The management team of Isua-Akoko Community Study Centre, Ondo State, has embarked on an advocacy campaign on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 with a visit to Idoani community in the North Senatorial District, Ose Local Government Area of the state.

The team, led by the centre director, Dr. Badmus A. Ayodeji, took the campaign to places like the state’s General Hospital, Federal Government College, and the Police Divisional Headquarters, Idoani.

They received warm receptions from their hosts as the director sensitised the audience to what the National Open University of Nigeria has to offer.

Badmus stated that NOUN is a nationally-owned institution that was established to remove barriers and a blessing to those that are not privileged to attend conventional universities, and also meant for a working-class group.

He further listed the various programmes available which are duly accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The director then implored them to take advantage of the golden opportunity placed before them and spread the campaign to their families, allies, friends, colleagues and others, to benefit from it, while assuring them that they won’t be disappointed to undertake their academic sojourn with NOUN.

At the state’s General Hospital, the Secretary to the Hospital, Mr. Micheal Orisasona, appreciated the team for their visit and promised to spread the campaign to other colleagues who were not present.

Also, at the Federal Government College, Idoani, Mrs. Eno Jane O., the Principal of the college, and the two Vice-Principals, thanked the team for the educational awareness they brought to the community and promised to enrol in this semester.
