NOUN participates at Miva Open University's maiden convocation

The Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, has participated at the maiden convocation ceremony of Miva Open University.

 

The ceremony, which took place at the National Theater, Lagos on Saturday, June 20, 2026 had HRH, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, as the Convocation Keynote Speaker.

 

NOUN Vice-Chancellor, represented by his deputy, administration, Prof. Shehu Usman Adamu, duly offered West Africa's largest Open University's Goodwill Message at the event.

 

"The National Open University of Nigeria has noted that Miva Open University has continued to steer the course through determination and unwavering focus in the persuance of her vision and mission.

 

"The National Open University of Nigeria warmly shares in your joy and fulfillment today. As an institution with the mandate to expand access to higher education and promote lifelong learning for developing human capacity required for the 21st Century on the African continent, we share your vision of growing the future, " said the NOUN VC in the goodwill message.

 

He therefore congratulated the Miva Open University and her community on the occasion, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students of the National Open University of Nigeria.
