NOUN unparalleled gift of FG to Nigerians, says NSCDC Commandant

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Minna Branch, Niger State, Aliyu Bature has said that the establishment National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is one of the best gift the Federal Government (FG) has given to Nigerians.

Bature said this when a delegation from NOUN Minna Study centre paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday 30th March, 2022.

According to him, NOUN is a university to reckon with, I implore all officers of the command to take advantage of the university in advancing their career as the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is an Alumni of NOUN.

‘’I will soon join the biggest university in West Africa, he added.

Earlier in his remark, the Study Centre Director and the leader of the delegation, Dr.M.A Magana said the aim of the visit is to sensitize the command on the activities NOUN and to encourage the command to take advantage of Open and Distance Learning Programmes.

Magana who was represented by the Chief Accountant, Mr Eli Tsado also stated that the university is a federal university that offers to every Nigerian a chance to have equitable access to education.

‘’NOUN does not discriminate against gender, race and religion and has 103 centre across the country, he said.

Both the postgraduate and undergraduate programmes are accredited by NUC, he added.
