The Director, Examinations and Assessments (DEA), National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Olugbenga Ojo, has commended the seamless conduct of the ongoing 2024_2 e-examinations at the Nigerian Correctional Service Special Study Centre, Abuja.
Ojo, while on an unscheduled tour to the centre, was impressed with the organisation and the seamless integration of technology even in such a unique learning environment and the coordination of the exercise.
The director interacted with students whom he found disciplined and focused, and commended their resilience and determination, noting that education was a powerful tool for personal transformation.
“Your dedication to learning inspires us all,”he remarked.
Ojo also emphasised on the importance of maintaining standards that the university is known for particularly in ensuring accessible education for all Nigerians, regardless of their circumstances.
The visit and inspection of the exercise, according to him, has brought to the fore the centre's dedication to providing quality education and convenience of the learners.
Shortly after the inspection, Ojo held a brief meeting with the centre director, staff and other stakeholders, where he applauded the them for the exceptional and unwavering commitment of the staff, the synergy and dedication between them and the university’s leadership.
