Okagbare, Sarumi okay conduct of POP exam at Jalingo, Bauchi, others

Two external examination monitoring officers, Prof. Gregory Okagbare and Dr. Kahar Wahab Sarumi, have separately visited the Jalingo, Wukari, Bauchi, Azare and Bogoro Study Centres, where they commended the process and the orderly conduct of the ongoing 2021_2 POP examination.

While at Jalingo Study Centre, Okagbare was given a tour of the centre by the director, Dr. Bala Waziri Kwata, which afforded the visitor the opportunity to inspect facilities at the study centre.

Okagbare, who is the Director, Learner Support Services (LSS), later monitored the exercise and expressed satisfaction at the professionalism of the staff in the conduct of the exercise and encouraged them to maintain the tempo.

He also held a brief interactive meeting with the staff of the centre where he admonished them to be committed to their duties, and urged them to ensure that the study centre and NOUN at large are taken to enviable heights as well as to portray a positive light of the university in the community.

The visitor commended the director of Jalingo Study Centre for the transformation witnessed at the centre and encouraged him to keep it up.

At Wukari Community Study Centre, the centre director, Dr. Bitrus Wada, who received Prof. Okagbare, expressed his delight for the visit and took him around the examination hall for proper monitoring and facility tour of the centre.

Okagbare also held brief meeting with the staff of the centre and later interacted with the students on their experience about the ongoing 2021_2 POP examination

On his part, Sarumi was at Bauchi, Azare and Bogoro Study Centres, where he expressed his appreciation on the  smooth conduct of the exercise, describing the process as very smooth and well organised.

He disclosed that there was no malpractice or irregularities recorded during his monitoring exercise.

Sarumi interacted with the students of Bauchi Study Centre shortly after the 2pm session was over and they explained that the questions were explicit, clear and unambiguous.

The visiting exam monitoring officer showed his satisfaction with the activities at the three study centres and commended the centre directors and their staff for ensuring a hitch-free and seamless exercise.

He, however, decried the poor network connectivity at Bogoro Community Study Centre and urged the university management to provide additional modem or broadband to serve as back up during cases of failure.

All the three study centre directors have explained to the visitor that their experiences in this examination has been smoother than the previous and applauded the Directorate of Examination and Assessment (DEA) for the quick and timely delivery of exam questions.
