Okpala applauds smooth e-Exams in Calabar


Angela Ebele Okpala, an associate professor at the Department of Library and Information Science, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has expressed satisfaction with the conduct and administration of the 2021_2 e-Exams at Calabar Study Centre, Calabar, Cross River State.

Okpala, who was on exams monitoring tour of the NOUN study centre in the capital city of Cross River State, was warmly received by the management of the centre, led by the centre director, Prof. Onyeka Iwuchukwu, on Monday, December 13, 2021.

South West: NOUN’s DEA applauds seamless e-Examination


The director, Exams and Assessment (DEA), National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Olugbenga Ojo, has commended the hitch-free conduct of the ongoing 2021_2 e-Exams at the Akure Study Centre, Ondo State.

Ojo, who was at the centre for monitoring along side Associate Professor Foluke Fatimeyin, commended the efforts and commitment of the study centre director, Prof. Samuel Ogunwale Ogundiran, and his team for their tireless efforts.

Council members inspect land for proposed Ikorodu Study Centre


In furthering the mandate of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), members of the university governing council have visited to inspect a land for the construction of a proposed befitting and state of the art study centre in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The land which is located along Majidun Awori in the Ikorodu axis of Lagos State is said to be an acre, according to the owners.

Having a study centre strategically located in a  locale like Ikorodu would enhance accessibility to and affordability of tertiary education to the people of Ikorodu and its environs.

IACD: NOUN’s VC spots corruption as a global problem


The Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Femi Peters, has identified corruption as a global Issue that requires urgent united efforts to prevent and counter.

Peters  stated this during an event organised by the Anti –Corruption and Transparency Unit (NOUN-ACTU) of the National Open University of Nigeria, with theme: Your Right, Your Role; Say NO to Corruption, held on the 9th of December 2021, to mark this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) at the headquarters of the university in Jabi, Abuja.

Onwubere commends hitch-free e-Exams at Enugu centres


The former head of department, Mass Communication, Associate Prof. Chidinma H. Onwubere, has commended the smooth administration and conduct of the on going 2021_2 e-exams at Enugu Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Enugu State.

Onwubere described the checking in procedures as perfect. She said that the commitment of the staff during the process was excellent, as all staff showed proficiency in computer operation.

Participate in AVC, pension firm advises NOUN staff


The ARM Pensions Managers has urged its contributors in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to consider participating in Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC).

AVC, the PFA explained, is an extra way to save towards retirement, in addition to the mandatory remittance taken monthly.

A representative from ARM, Mr Olufemi Falope, made this explanation during a 1-day interactive session with staff of the university at NOUN Convocation Arena in Abuja recently.

Ukwueze rates Port Harcourt Centre e-Exams as satisfactory


A professor at the Faculty of Education and former centre director, Asaba Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Augustine Ukwueze, has described the conduct of the ongoing 2021_2 e-Exams at Port Harcourt Study Centre, as satisfactory.

The don, who arrived the oil-rich city of Port Harcourt on Wednesday, to monitor the exams, said he was fully satisfied with the manner in which the e-Exams were administered.

NOUN’s - ACTU set to celebrate Anti-Corruption Day


The Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN-ACTU) is set to join a host of other countries (globally) to celebrate the 2021 International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD)

The event is slated  to hold on Thursday 9th December, 2021 at 11:00 a.m  at the Convocation Arena, NOUN Headquarters, Abuja.

The theme of this years annual event is : Your right,your role:Say no to Corruption''.
