Anetor, Ibeme observe seamless e - Exam


The director, Centre for Excellence in Migration and Global Studies, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Associate Prof. Gloria Anetor, has said the administration and conduct of the on-going 2021_2  e-examination was impressive and fantastic.

Anetor disclosed this in a  chat with _NOUN News_ correspondent when she monitored the e - exam at Umudike Study Centre, Abia State.

Southeast: Osuji Briefs Subject Officers, Examiners


The Coordinator, Southeast conference marking zone and Dean, Faculty of Education (FOE), Prof. Uchenna Sydney Ajunwa Osuji, has described the marking exercise as a normal ritual where the future of many lives are decided.

Osuji disclosed this when briefing the examiners during the 2021_2 conference marking at Enugu Study Centre, Enugu State.

NOUN’s RETRIDOL, COL to hold Quality Assurance Mechanisms Workshop


The National Open University of Nigeria's Regional Training & Research  Institute for  Distance and Open Learning (NOUN’s-RETRIDOL), and the CommonWealth of Learning (COL) will jointly hold a 3-day workshop on Quality Assurance Mechanisms for Dual -Mode Institutions in Nigeria.

The workshop is slated to hold between Tuesday 14th - Thursday 16th December, 2021, from 9:00am-5:00pm daily.

PDW&S: Abulu joins league of directors


The management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has approved the appointment of Mr. Smart A. Abulu (RQS) as the new director, Physical Development,Works and Services (PDW&S).

This was contained in a memo dated December 1, 2021, and signed by deputy registrar, Human Resources (SS), Mrs Fadimatu N. D Fufore - Ahiwa on behalf of the the registrar.

OER: Solution to Accessible Learning - NOUN VC


The vice-chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof.Olufemi Peters, has identified Open Educational Resources (OER) as an integral part of open solutions to learning which has facilitated access to proper learning materials for both teaching and learning at reduced cost.

Peters stated this in his opening remarks at a workshop with the theme,  _Open Education Resources and Repository Content Development_

NOUN's team storms Senegal for DSTN symposium


About six staff of the National Open University of Nigeria(NOUN) will be participating at the Digital Science and Technology Network (DSTN) symposium in Senegal.

The symposium, which is slated to hold from 6th-12th of December, 2021, is aimed  at bringing together the participating African Centre of Excellence (ACEs), their partners, socio-economic actors and international collaborators, to share experiences as well as train potential entrepreneurs on how to launch their start-ups in Digital Science and Technology.

ACETEL’s 2020/2021_1&2 examinations flag off in four countries


The 2020/2021_1&2 semester examination of 
The World Bank assisted African Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL) 
commences on the 6th of December 2021 across four different countries.

The 2nd examination for the 2020/2021 academic session will be held online through METTL Proctoring in
Uganda, Ghana, Gambia and Cameroon, Prof. Grace Jokthan, ACETEL Centre Director has said.
