Bauchi Study Centre Organises Send-forth for departing director

The Management and staff of Bauchi Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has Organized a Send-off Party in honour of the erstwhile Director, Prof. Mohammed Bello Abdullahi who ended his tenure on the 31st December, 2021.

The event which held at the study center auditorium, had in attendance the center director Dr. Buba Baba Shani, principal officers at the centre and other staffers. 

The centre director Dr. Buba Baba Shani, who was ably represented by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Mrs Janet Tebebe, appreciated the outgoing director for positive and meritorious years of service to the University. 

The Chairperson, Welfare Committee of the centre, Mrs. Bilkisu Yilwa , who spoke on behalf of the staff, commended him for being hardworking and rendering selfless service to the center in last 4 years

 On his part, Prof. Abdullahi, who was represented by the Principal Liibrarian Mr. Salisu Agai, thanked and appreciated all staff of the centre for their immense support towards the successful completion of his tenure as the director.

Abdullahi who steered the affairs of the centre for 4 years, had been able to increased students enrollment to a resonable level and arrested the challenges of examination malpractice to the barest minimum.

The former director had during his handing over session in December, 2021 appreciated the professional support he enjoyed from all of the staff of the centre and the University administration at large. He assured to continue to relate more professionally and personally with the centre when the need arises. 

He called on the entire staff of the centre to cooperate with new director by giving him all the support needed to be successful in the position, as no one can do it all alone, and one needs  full and unflinching support to take the centre to greater heights. 

He further urged the new director to carry every officer along in the course of his leadership and pursue the completion of uncompleted/abandoned projects;  NOUN - Bauchi State Government partnership on Civil Servants enrollment and Certificate recognition including the restoration of the Marking Centre and establishment of the Zonal Incubation Centre. 

The event featured presentation of gifts and souvenirs to the former director by the deputy Registrar, Hawa Dede on behalf of the staff of Bauchi Study Centre.
