The outgoing Director of the Opi Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Scholastica Ngozi Ezeribe, has formally handed over the leadership of the centre to her successor, Professor Christopher Ejike Nnadi.
The handover ceremony, held on Tuesday, August 12, 2026, marked the official transition of leadership at the centre.
Before the commencement of the ceremony, Professor Ezeribe, alongside members of staff, conducted Professor Nnadi on a familiarisation tour of the centre to inspect its various units and facilities.
In her address, Professor Ezeribe expressed appreciation to members of staff for their cooperation, support and commitment throughout her tenure as Centre Director.
She said she was delighted to hand over the leadership of the centre to an experienced colleague and appealed to the staff to extend the same cooperation and support they gave her to her successor.
Responding, the incoming Director, Professor Nnadi, commended Professor Ezeribe for her achievements and contributions to the development of the centre.
He pledged to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor and solicited the support and cooperation of members of staff in moving the centre to greater heights.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal signing and presentation of the handover notes by the outgoing Director to her successor, symbolising the smooth transition of leadership at the Opi Community Study Centre.
