The Bauchi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in encouraging its men and officers to enroll in the institution’s flexible Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes.
This commitment was made during an advocacy visit by the Director of NOUN Bauchi Study Centre, Dr. Madu Galadima, and his team to the FRSC Command Headquarters in Bauchi.
The Sector Commander, I.A. Ibrahim, commended the NOUN delegation for the enlightenment visit, pledging to sensitizs officers and personnel of the corps on the benefits of furthering their education through NOUN’s ODL system.
Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Galadima explained that the visit was part of NOUN’s continuous advocacy campaign aimed at creating awareness among security agencies about the university’s academic offerings and fostering institutional collaboration.
He noted that NOUN operates over 100 study centres nationwide, offering more than 1,000 courses across various disciplines through flexible and technology-driven learning model designed for working professionals.
The director further outlined that the university conducts Pen-on-Paper (PoP) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations twice annually and provides both online and printed study materials to support effective learning.
He urged FRSC officers to seize the opportunity to advance their qualifications and professional development through the university’s accessible system.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, during which the NOUN team briefed FRSC personnel on admission procedures, registration processes, course options, and fees, while responding to questions from interested officers.
