Gulak Centre takes advocacy to ADSU Staff School

The Gulak Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Mubi, Adamawa State, has taken the full advantage of its proximity with the Adamawa State University (ADSU), by taking its advocacy campaign to the university's Demonstration Staff School, Mubi.

Acting Centre Director, Mrs. Magaret J. Yamtu, who led the advocacy team, explained the purpose of the visit by her team emphasising on the importance of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of education to the staff of the school, the university’s vision, mission, admission processes, mode of operation, NOUN websites, course and programme duration, as well as available courses and programmes.

Other areas highlighted were the flexible nature of the operations of the university and the location of the study centre.

The outreach event, which attracted the interest of many people, featured questions and answers session as well as distribution of advocacy materials to the participants.
