Lagos Centre welcomes two NUC accreditation teams

The accreditation team of the National Universities Commission (NUC), on Monday, November 25, 2024 visited Lagos Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), for its routine accreditation exercise.

The  team was for B.Sc Marketing and B.Sc Business Administration in the Faculty of Management Science of the university.

They were received by the Centre Director, Prof. Alero Akujobi, who led them on a tour to the Physical Library where the Liberian, Mr. Oluwaseun Babarotimi demonstrated the accessibility and the functionality of e- materials.

Hardcopies of materials were also reviewed and questions were thrown on the availability of resources for students.

At the Counselling Unit, the team was thrilled while listening to the responses given by the student's counsellors during the interaction.

The NUC team also visited the incubation centre, store unit, ICT office, staff rooms, among others for critical assessment and evaluation.

At the end of the tour, the study centre provided all required documents such as students records, staff files, practical materials and study materials for verifications.

The NUC team for B.Sc Marketing includes Prof.Yakibi. A. Afolabi as the Chairman, Prof. R.A. Ganiyu, NUC representative, Eucharia C. Ike, Faculty of Management Sciences, Dr. Kayode Kadiri, Faculty of Management Sciences and Directorate of Academic Planning representative, Mr. Abayomi Ilori.

For the B.Sc Business Administration, the members included Prof. Nasir Moshood Lann, as the chairman, Prof. Chinwuba Okafor, Prof.Emmanuel Babatunde Omobowale, Dr. Sufian Jelili, Mr. Udeng Felix as the NUC representative and Mrs. Rachel Owhatuemuhor, Directorate of Academic Planning representative.
