The North-East Incubation Centre, Zone 1, Maiduguri, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has welcomed its newly posted Coordinator, Dr. Mavis B. Madu, following a brief handover ceremony held at the centre.
The ceremony formally marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing Coordinator, Dr Buba Shani, to Dr. Madu, in the presence of members of staff.
In his remarks, Dr. Shani expressed appreciation to the management and staff for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.
He urged his successor to introduce innovative strategies and initiatives that would strengthen the operations of the centre and enhance its overall performance.
Dr Shani also called on staff to give the new Coordinator their maximum support, cooperation and commitment to ensure continuity and sustained progress.
Responding, Dr. Madu commended Dr. Shani for his leadership and contributions to the development of the centre.
She pledged to build on the existing structures, platforms and achievements of the centre while introducing necessary improvements to further advance its mandate.
The new Coordinator described herself as a team player and emphasised the importance of collective effort, collaboration and mutual respect among staff members.
She expressed confidence that, with the support and commitment of the team, the centre would record greater achievements and reach new milestones.
The handover ceremony ended with goodwill messages from staff and a renewed commitment to ensuring a smooth transition, effective leadership and continued progress at the Centre.
