The Director, Yola Study Centre, Mrs.Tiling Marlin Yelyel, has called on the management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to construct a larger multipurpose examination hall to enable the centre accommodate the increasing number of students’ population.

Yelyel made the call soon after relocating some students who could not find space at the auditorium in the ongoing 2021_1 POP examination to the facilitation rooms of the center.

The director further narrated that the inconveniences being faced during POP examinations are derived from the inability of the auditorium to accommodate all candidates due to the increase in students' enrollment.

She added that the centre, which boasts of having about 3,000 students, deserves to have a larger examination auditorium, as the centre has the potentials of admitting more students in view of its vantage location.

Furthermore, Yelyel explained if adequate and larger multipurpose examination hall is constructed, it will continue to provide excellent service to the students and enhance the smooth conduct of examination at the centre.

The current examination hall, which with 175-seat capacity, is serving as venue for both POP examination and other academic matters.

It could be recalled that this latest development is coming on the trail of recent commissioning of 100- seat capacity of e- Examination hall at the centre, which also continues to face the same challenge due to the increase in students' population.
