Academy of Management Nigeria elects Mande as president

The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN) has elected Professor Samaila Mande of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as its new President.

He was unanimously elected at the 19th Annual General Meeting of the academy, which took place at the Southern Delta University, Ozoro, on Thursday.

The organisation is the highest body of scholars and intellectuals in management-related fields in Nigeria.

Mande, a renowned scholar in business administration with a specialisation in marketing communication and entrepreneurship, has served as the National Secretary of the Academy of Management Nigeria.

He is also a visiting scholar at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, as well as military institutions in Nigeria.

As president of the academy, he is expected to provide leadership and direction to the organisation, promoting research, education, and practice in management and leadership. 

The Publicity Secretary of the academy, Professor Justine Gabriel, said in a press statement: "His appointment is a testament to his expertise and dedication to the field.

"We congratulate Prof. Samaila Mande on his election as President of the Academy of Management Nigeria. We look forward to working with him to advance management knowledge and research in Nigeria."

The Academy of Management Nigeria is a professional organisation dedicated to promoting research, education, and practice in management and leadership. 

It brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge and best practices in management.
