Jalingo Study Centre trains staff on ICT

The management of Jalingo Study Centre, Taraba State, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has held a 5-day basic computer training for all staff of the centre.

The training, which was held from 27 September - 1 October 2021, was a hands-on exercise where all participants were exposed to the use of Microsoft Office application, mainly Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet as well as email for office work.

It was facilitated by the three IT staff of the centre, led by the senior IT Officer, Mr. Samaila Bitrus.

On their part, the staff expressed their excitement and appreciated the centre director, Dr. Bala Waziri Kwata for initiating the training, the first of its kind in the history of the centre.

The director promised the staff that more of such trainings will be organised in the future to boost their capacity to deliver excellence services to students and clients of the centre.

A goodwill message was received from the Wukari Community Study Centre director, Dr. Bitrus Zira Wada, who was the special guest at the programme.
